Appearance- Eclipsestar is a rather strange cat in terms of appearance. The first thing cats notice about him is his tail--it's a little longer than a stub and had earned him his warrior name ("Waxing and waning like the moon, isn't it?" his friends always joked), much to his chagrin.
His body is long and slender. Though he is still fairy young, his fur seems to have a dulled appearance about it. He grooms it as much as he can but, nah, it doesn't seem to want to work for him.
Moving onto his fur color, it is mostly black. His muzzle and chin are strikingly white in contrast to the rest of his face. The end of his short tail is tipped with white.
His eyes are an icy, piercing blue color.

Personality- Eclipsestar tries to be as nice as he can to his clan and is often very flexible when it comes to mistakes and minor rule breaking. He's a humorous cat by nature and jokes around a lot. He tries not to make enemies and likes staying on the good side of cats, which isn't that hard considering his attitude.
However, if you decide to tick him off one too many times, he can lash out at you. He will also fiercely defend his clan--what leader wouldn't?--and can hold a grudge for a very long time. Also, when he's decided on something, he sticks by it and isn't easily convinced otherwise. I guess you could call him stubborn at times.
He's also very sensitive about his tail and doesn't like it when cats tease him about it. Just...just don't try it.

History- Eclipsestar doesn't really know how he came into Moonclan. If you ask an elder, they'll probably know more about his life before he came in than he would himself.
He does know that he wasn't born into Moonclan, but his 'littermates' didn't care much at the time. So, he was raised like a regular kit, apprentice, and warrior. To be honest, he had no idea that he wasn't clanborn until and elder decided to tell him. He had just made the transition of being an apprentice to a true warrior. If he had been younger, he probably would have thrown a fit. Indeed, he felt like running away to find his "true" clan--or whatever he was in before--but decided against it.
Then he started wondering whether or not he was trusted by the clan. He became unstable and twitchy, though thankfully this stage didn't last very long. He couldn't summon up the courage to ask someone about his past--even now, he doesn't fully understand. Eventually though, with his likeable demeanor, he got the rank of deputy--and now leader.

Eclipsetail stretched in his bed. Something was missing...he stood up drowsily and mumbled a barely audible "izzitsunrisealready" to his clanmates.
Oh. Everything was different. It came back to him like a shock--the sudden passing of the previous leader, the travel to the Stardust Stone, the nine lives...
And now he was alone. It was so cold, without the warmth of his denmates. Just him. Here. Everything was different, yet everything was the same.
He fluffed up his fur and sighed. "Ah, cheer up," he said to himself. He started grooming himself, though the effort was futile. He had already groomed himself so nervously the night before--it was this automatic thing he did when he was nervous, though he wasn't nervous often.
Stepping outside, he breathed in the cold, stinging air and sighed once more.
It was a new day, waiting for new beginnings.
Now he was Eclipsestar, the leader of Moonclan.
