Eclipsestar rolled over in his sleep. There's something important I have to do today. Uhhhh, he thought to himself.
Apparently, his memory was failing him. Not exactly at the most convinient time, either.
After several minutes of lying there doing absolutely nothing (what a great way to spend his first day as a leader, eh?) something in his mind clicked. "Oh!" he meowed out loud. Maybe a bit too loud. Oops.
Clamboring out of his den, he clawed his way onto the lowest branch of the Silver Tree. Hmm, how was it supposed to go again? He collected the thoughts in his head--hopefully they weren't going to slip his mind any time soon--and yowled out for his clan to hear:
"LET MOONCLAN GATHER BELOW THE SILVER TREE FOR A CLAN MEETING!"

Blackenedfoot prowled across the slick branch, his tail tip flicking back and forth, amber eyes locked intently on the squirrel that nibbled on a seed at the end of the branch. He was drawing ever closer to the squirrel, just one more paw step, one more, and he'd be able to spring upon his prey and sink his jaws into the pulsing flesh of the warm, delicious squirrel...
Then, a howl rang through the forest. Blackenedfoot winced and watched as the squirrel gave one twitch of the tail and fled, leaping from the branch to another one beside it, then rapidly fading away towards the Forest Canopy. Blackenedfoot whisked around and bared his teeth, his amber eyes flashing with fury. Then, he pricked his ears and listened closely, listening for the voice to come again. It was Eclipsestar, the Clan's newest leader, calling a ceremony together at the sound of it. Blackenedfoot sighed, then gave a glance towards where he had seen the squirrel last vanish. Supper would have to wait.
With an enormous leap Blackenedfoot leapt towards the direction of the camp, springing from branch to branch until he has just above the camp. Then, he latched onto the trunk of the tree, and sprang into the clearing below about half way down the smooth bark. He stumbled a little because of his paw, but he managed to keep his balance, and walked towards the Silver Tree, hoping no one had noticed his entrance.

Hush now.... I wont hurt you....
Her stare meandered as the leapt from tree to tree. The silver bark made a rather ugly noise as her claws embeded into them. Like a harmony, whispers floated elegantly yet mysteriously through the air as she made her entrance to the clan. Earlier today she had a rather graceful fall from the higher branches which wasn't like her. However with her aerobatic techniques, she was able to soar through the air and land on a lower branch. She tip-toed with her hackles raised mid way to give her silence. Silence relaxed her. She wasn't a fan of uproar and confusion. Bunching up her hindlegs she moved below the silver tree. She had heard Eclipsestar's booming voice from the other end of the forest near the lake. Perhaps it was quite important.

A dark ginger tom lay nestled in a nest of moss that lay hidden away in one of the high dens of the MoonClan camp. Though the MoonClan warrior was usually wide awake by this time, he had been on the Star High patrol, so naturally he was tired. But As a voice echoed across the trees though, he opened an eye, and as he realized that it was Eclipsestar's he immediately jumped to his feet. Scorchstreak barely gave himself time to yawn as he began to climb down to the ground to reach the bottom of the Silver Tree. He skidded to a halt though as he reached the other cats who had already gathered and with a quick shake of his thick pelt he sat down among them. He turned his Green gaze up to the MoonClan leader, and waited with curiosity to see what he wanted.

Lovepaw wasjust about to replay to her fellow apprentice friend when she saw her leader jump up on the silver tree. She then glanced at her friend and mewed, "Well lets go,.." she then raced to go sit next to her fellow warriors and then looked up at her leader and thought, He is probably going to nnounce the new deputy! We needed one about now! She then looked back to see if her friend was coming after her.
She then shook her head nad then saw him. Blackenedfoot infront of her only a few feet. She got weak in the legs and she felt her heart pounding. He was a cute tom she can say. He was so loyal and always put other cats before him. From what she saw of course. She gave a love sigh and tilted her head and went into dayfreaming about him. Hopefully no one knew about her littel crush on him. She had to be very careful with that.

ooc| Okay, I know not everyone is here, but we'll pretend they are. The show must go on xD I'll appoint Dreampaw's mentor when Dreampaw gets on the thread. By the way, I'm using emberstar3.webs.com/ceremonies.htm as a reference for my ceremonies. If I'm doing it wrong, tell me. Then you can slap me xD bic| Eclipsestar nervously stepped up. "This sun high, we gather to name a new apprentice. Come forward." He motioned with his tail to Lovepaw. "From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Lovepaw. Blackenedfoot," he added, "you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Lovepaw. Blackenedfoot, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of courage and...calmness." Eclipsestar smiled. "I expect you to pass on everything your forner mentor has taught you." Pausing for a moment, he added, "And maybe you can teach Lovepaw a bit about being less, ah, excitable." |

Blackenedfoot sat near the front of the group of cats, his ears pricked up intently as he listened to Eclipsestar speak. He couldn't help but wonder who would be Lovepaw's apprentice. Perhaps one of the senior warriors that sat around him? Sure, Blackenedfoot was one of the eldest warriors, but there were many others that had much more experience than him. Besides, he had just finished training his last apprentice. He couldn't expect to be given one so soon afterwards.
Then, his name was called. Blackenedfoot stiffended with surprise and his amber eyes blazed. He looked around the group of cats, all of which were staring at him expectantly, then slowly rose to his paws. He padded forward to stand in front of the Silver Tree, just beneath where Eclipsestar stood. "Certainly," he purred, turning towards the apprentice that sat clustered among the younger cats of the Clan. He held his tail high in greeting, waiting for his new apprentice to approach him.

Lovepaw got all excited and padded up to her leader and sat down. She was then excited to hear that she was getting a mentor! She then freaked out a bit and felt like she couldnt breathe when she found out that Blackenedfoot was going to be her mentor! This day couldnt get any better for her! She then tilted her head to the side wshen her leader didnt want her to be a bit...excited..?

Dreampaw's ears perked up as she heard Eclipsestar's call. She wondered what was up. She followed after Lovepaw, a small smile on her face. She then paused aso she thought she saw something peaking out from the silver trees looming over the camp. She nearly ran into Prayerwhisper. She stopped intime before colding into the she-cats' side. She muttered a quick, "Sorry!" And then swerved around her and padded up beside her friend Lovepaw. She guessed it was one of her clan-mates coming into camp from that branch. She merely shrugged the thought off and then turned to hear her leader announcing Lovepaw's new mentor! She grinned and watched her friend pad over to Blackendfoot. Wow! one of the senierish warriors was going to train Lovepaw! She blinked and sat down with her tail drawn over her paws, happy for her friend.

Prayerwhisper looked at the new addition. She couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. A clan cat late for their own ceremony."You came just on time you know. You might have missed your apprenticeship ceremony. You wouldn't have wanted to go without a mentor would you?" She smiled warmly before turning her attention back to Eclipsestar waiting to see who would mentor the cat who had just appeared.

Eclipsestar sat calmly on the Silver Tree, waiting for the chatter to die down. When it did, he continued onto Dreampaw's mentor.
"As well as Lovepaw, there is another apprentice we much name today. Dreampaw, come forward. From this day on, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Dreampaw. Scorchstreak, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Dreampaw. Scorchstreak, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of cunningness and strategy. I expect you to pass on everything your former mentor has taught you."
