Name- Soulflight
Previous Names- Soulkit, Soulpaw
Age- 48 stars
Gender- She-cat
Clan- MysticClan
Rank- Hopefully Medicine Cat?
Extra- None really 0o
Appearance- Soulflight is unusually colored with dark blue-gray tabby fur and white specks on her paws, tail, and muzzle. Her eyes are a burning, blazing amber-green, capable of giving any stare from kind and soft to stern and intolerant. The shape of her paws is quite useful. Her front toes are spread out a little more than the usual cat's, and her claws, though not sharp, are curved at just the right angle to get a good hold on trunks when trying to avoid a hard fall. Her body is not light, but it's long, and her tail, constantly flicking like the thoughts that run through her mind, acts as a balance when climbing or crossing risky areas. Her right ear has a couple of scratches after a spat with a loner (she insists to this day that the fight was not her fault and that she's a strong believer in peaceful confrontation.) Soulflight's underbelly is a lighter gray.
Personality- Soulflight is an early bird and a night lover at once. She loves feeling the soft cool of the morning, and the warm twinkling mood at Sundown. Because of this, her sleeping time is scattered into several naps in the day, and in the very late night. Soulflight loves kits and entertaining them- she usually keeps one area of the den filled with moss balls and dried grass for sick kittens to play with. She can also be gentle-pawed with the warriors as well, but it depends on how whiny they are and how much they squirm when she's applying poultices =P. When not on duty, Soulflight could be mistaken for a warrior. She loves to converse with the other MysticClan cats and give her own opinion on issues, and she likes to go out and collect herbs while traveling with patrols. She'll do her best to offer peace and refrain from fighting rival Clan cats, but only because of her medicine cat oath. If the cat attacks her, Soulflight will not refrain from defending herself. Her main fault is that she has quite a lot of pride.
History- (note: I hate histories xD So sorry if this is boring.)
Soulkit was named for the white speckles on her paws, since all souls of StarClan have stars to set their feet on. As a kit, she was well behaved with her parents and her siblings, but had a very fiesty attitude with those she didn't get along with. She didn't take to bossy kits and was quick to make a fight, and though her parents were exasperated, others saw potential and hoped that she would take the path of a warrior, for she would certainly take to the task. However, Soulkit didn't have warrior life on her mind...
One of Soulkit's favorite pasttimes was watching the medicine cat at his tasks. It intrigued her, watching cobwebs being pressed on wounds, chewed up roots and leaves being mixed together for medical uses. When the half moon came and the medicine cat went on his monthly journeys, Soulkit would watch after him, a knot forming in her stomach as she wondered where he went, what he did, and what StardustClan said about MysticClan.
So when the time came that (name) asked if she wanted to become his apprentice, Soulpaw was overjoyed. Though her fiesty heart was smoothened around the edges after time, she remained having a very strong personality and spirit, of which she put to good use. Now, as a medicine cat, she uses this strong will to her advantage, encouraging herself to do whatever it takes the heal and care for her clanmates. She has developed a bond with her Clan overtime, to the point where if it was needed, she would give her life for them.
Roleplay Example-
How pretty.... I can never get over these kind of things, can I?
She was out again.... watching them shimmer, dissappear, then burst out again from the behind the blowing clouds, twinkling as brightly as before if not with more beauty. The ringed sphere that remained a tranquil mother of the night hung in Silverpelt's blanket of stars, its glory challenging that of the much smaller, cream-colored eye that determined when Clans gathered for meetings and when Medicine cats left to speak with their ancestors. The sky's lights echoed on the trees, playing with the unnatural night-silver bark. However, to Soulflight- and to all the other cats of the Endless Forest- this nightly miracle of the trees was an unquestioned fact of life.
Nonetheless, it was still beautiful and awing to the medicine cat. Beautiful enough to keep me here all night, she mused. But I'll have to wait for a night like that. For now there's chores to be done- The new herbs are still spread out on my bed and the kit store hasn't been cleaned up. Soulflight wasn't angry, though. Kits were naturally...... quite unorganized.
Soulflight stood from her spot, shaking the dust off her fur, and padded into her den. She started with the herbs in her bed- gathering them in her jaws carefully. She then sniffed her way into the deeper area of the den, where all the precious leaves and roots were stored for future use, and began placing each herb in their right spot.
A yowl broke the silence of the camp.
Soulflight turned, dashing out of the den and back into the outside. Apparently she wasn't the only one who had been jumped out of her wits- warriors and queens had also emerged from their beds, sleepy, but anxious.
"What's going on?" she demanded, a little surprised to hear her own voice.
A tom was pulling his unconcious apprentice by the scruff, his pelt ruffled and streaked with long gashes. He dropped his charge again, yowling for a second time, "Help, please! He's dying!"
Immediately Soulflight snapped into her professional mood. "Take his scruff again," she ordered, going over to pull the apprentice from the lower back. "Ve're gnng tu gft hm tu mm dnn." She led the way, carrying the apprentice gently, but briskly. His mentor followed, helping with the rest of the weight.
Soulflight's patient was laid in the center of the den. The medicine cat disappeared for a moment, and came back with wads of cobweb and dock in her mouth. She dropped them at her feet, taking the cobwebs and pressing them against the apprentice's deep wounds. "I will work fast enough, and he will live." She shoved the dock and the other herbs that she brought to the distraught mentor. "Chew these." She returned to her charge, tending to the wounds carefully and deliberately. It was important to take her time in such critical areas for this, but too much time could prove to be fatal, and she was determined to use only the time she needed. I cannot let you die...
