This is the Warrior Code, the law created by the Clan's ancestors many generations ago. Cats need to follow this, and there will be consequences for those who don't.
-The Clan comes first. Cats cannot take a mate outside of their own Clan.
-Cats must remain loyal to their own Clan, and cannot leave their Clan to join another.
-A cat cannot eat until they have hunted or fed the elders or queens. Any cats who eat prior to hunting may not eat for the rest of the day and must hunt for the entire Clan.
-A kit may not hunt, and cannot leave the camp without their mothers
-Prey is killed only to be eaten, not for sport. Cats who chose to hunt for sport may not hunt at all.
-A kit cannot become an apprentice until they are at least six moons of age.
-An apprentice must obey their mentor. Apprentices who disobey need to look after the elders for the rest of the day.
-An apprentice must train with their mentors at least once a day. Any mentor who neglects to train their apprentices needs to give their apprentice to another cat to mentor.
-A permanently injured or disabled warrior must retire into the elder's den for their own safety and health.
-A warrior may not have kits until they have spent three moons as a warrior. This is to ensure that a cat will not forget their warrior training in the time it takes to raise kits.
-A cat cannot neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if that kit belongs to another Clan.
-Female leaders and deputies may not have kits. Medicine cats of either gender cannot have kits or a mate.
-An apprentice may not have a mate or kits.
-In order to become deputy, a cat must have trained two or more apprentices.
-After the old deputy dies or retires the new one must be chosen before sunset.
-Newly appointed leaders must go to recieve their name and nine lives as soon as possible.
-A cat must defend their Clan with their life in battle.
-A true warrior does not kill another cat to win their battles.
-Borders must be patrolled and marked daily. All tresspassing cats must be challenged.
-On the first day of each Star, from sunhigh to sunset, cats must meet in peace at the Stardust Tree. There shall be no fighting at this time.
