Chilling in the sun

[Lonestar]

Lovepaw opened her eyes to the bright shining sun beaming down in er den. Last night she was up late hunting for the clan. She was shocked no one woke her up. She then gave a shook of her head and found herself on her side lying down. She looked around den and saw she was the only one here. She then say up and gave her fur a couple licks then gave herself one good shake to get the leaves and moss attatched to her fur then went outside.

She looked around the camp seeing that no one was around. She then sat down and let the warm sun warm her up. Her tail hung in the den and from how bright her fur was it looked like she was glowing. She sat waiting for some cat to make a noise but it seemed like everyone was out. She then lied on the floor and waited for someone to tell her to do something.

[Jetclaw]

The creamish white fur of Dreampaw could be seen running into camp, a bird hanging from her jaws. Her eyes were bright, and her tabby tail held high. She had caught her first bird today, and it was awesome! She spotted Lovepaw and instantly padded over to her. "Lovepaw, look!" She meowed as she dropped the brown and black bird from her mouth. "I just caught this! And it's my first!" She meowed proudly with a wide smile, "Isn't this awesome!?" She exclaimed as she prodded the bird with her paw for a second, and then waited for Lovepaw's reply.

Lovepaw heard something from the enterance camp and she stood up waiting to see what it was. She then saw her pal Drempaw race in with a bird in her mouth. Shethen saw her racing over to her and telling her it was her first. "Thats wonderful! I'm so happy for you!" Lovepaw purred. She looked at the black animal and mewed, That thing is huge! How did you manage to get it? I mean Drempaw..its amazing! Everyone is going to be so proud of you!"

[Jetclaw]

Dreampaw purred happily and meowed, "I don't even know how I managed to catch it! I just did what, [insert mentor name here] told me to, and bam!" She giggled at the end.
"You think so? I mean, everyone catches big birds, and I'm just an apprentice..." She began and trailed off. "What was your first prey like? I don't think I ever saw it!" She asked curiously and sat down, staring at her friend thoughtfully.
I'm glad to have a friend like Lovepaw, she knows how to make anyone smile! Dreampaw thought as her dark blue eyes blinked slowly.

Lovepaw sat down and listened to her friend and then wanted to know what her first prey was. Lovepaw looked at her paws but then looked at her friend and mewed, "nothing big like yours I can say right off the bat. It was a feild mouse." She then looked at the blakc bird and mewed, "Of course cats are going to be amazed on what you cought. Thats the amazing thing about it. Your an apprentce! I dont even remember the last time I even heard an apprentice catching a bird."

[Jetclaw]

Dreampaw blushed, feeling quite embarassed that Lovepaw was so impressed, wasn't it just a bird? She then smiled again and meowed, "Well I guess I got my hunting skills from my dad." Her tabby brown tail thumped the ground and then she meowed, "I guess i'll go put this on the pile real quick." she picked up the bird and darted off to lay it on the growing pile. She ran back, her tail fluffted out, "...but let me tell you, it wasn't easy catching that thang!" She meowed as she padded to Lovepaw's side. "try imagining waiting for a slug to move acouple tail lengths. That's how long it felt to stalk that bird." She told her friend with a sigh. "I'm sure your mentor was proud that you caught that feild mouse though, so chin up." She meowed smiling, trying to make her friend not feel bad for not catching a bird the first time around.

Lovepaw shrugged. She still kept a smile on her face for her friend. I was actually on my own with the feild mouse. I was actually having a bad day. I knew I could have done better then a feild mouse. I tried after the mouse but nothing came. I kept missing and missing and I didnt get anything but the mouse. I came home with it in my jaws, I swear to starclan everycat looked at me as if they were saying, "Is that best you did? Pathedic..". Hated that day from this moment on.

Dreampaw frowned slightly, it couldn't have been THAT bad of a day for Lovepaw. She then smiled again and meowed encouragingly, "Aw, it wasn't that bad of a day! Maybe hunting just isn't you thing, I bet your stronger in other skills." She rolled over on the sunbathed ground and then bolted up suddenly and batted at her friend's head, "like fighting!" she meowed happily, still batting at Lovepaw's head gently, but swiftly, "come on! I wanna see you sweat missy! Sweat I say!"she exclaimed her eyes shining in playfulness as she played coach to Lovepaw.

Lovepaw shrugged once again and watched her ffiend sun bath on the ground. She was just about to join her when all of a sudden she was cought off guard by having Dreampaw spring up and headbutt her telling her to fight. Lovepaw flattened her hears and opend her eyes wide when she had Dreampaw come so close to her nose. She then raised an eyebrow and mewed, "Fighting?..right..". She wasnt really to sure about the shole fighting idea. really. She then tilted her head and mewed, "We shecats dont sweat. We shimmer.".

Dreampaw stopped what she was doing and gave her friend a weird look. She then meowed jokingly, "What's wrong with you?" she then laughed and rolled over away from her and sat up straight, staring at her again, "Shimmer? righhht." She meowed with a amused smile and shake of her head, "Then I guess toms sweat." She concluded with a flick of her tail. She then let out a long sigh, "What have you been up too while I was gone?" She asked Lovepaw curiously, drawing a paw over her ear.

[Lonestar]

"Yes toms sweat. We shecats shimmer." she mewed with a smile on her face. She then tilted her head to one side and mewed, "I just woke up before you came in. I was out late last night hunting for the clan. I wasnt keeping track of time and I got into the camp late. I was so tiered I knew I was going to be woken up early but when I woke up on my own no one was in camp it was all quiet and so then you came along and now I'm here talking to you still trying to wake up."
